ERPC Upgrades Solana Geyser gRPC Endpoints in Frankfurt & Amsterdam to AMD EPYC 5th Gen — P99 Latency Reduced by ~100ms with Improved Stability

2026.03.04
ELSOUL LABO B.V. (Headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands; CEO: Fumitake Kawasaki) and Validators DAO, operators of ERPC, are pleased to announce a major infrastructure upgrade to the Solana Geyser gRPC shared endpoints in the Frankfurt (FRA) and Amsterdam (AMS) regions.

What's Improved

In response to rapidly growing demand across both regions, the following upgrades have been applied to the Geyser gRPC endpoints:
  • Upgraded to the latest AMD EPYC 5th Gen CPU configuration
  • Additional endpoint server capacity
  • Performance tuning based on R&D findings

New Endpoints

text
grpc-fra1-1.erpc.global (185.191.118.149) // Frankfurt
grpc-ams1.erpc.global (84.32.103.245) // Amsterdam

Legacy Endpoint Deprecation Schedule

  • grpc-fra6-1.erpc.global — Already removed
  • grpc-ams6-1.erpc.globalScheduled for removal on March 10, 2026
Users of Geyser gRPC in Frankfurt or Amsterdam who are still on legacy endpoints are asked to re-register their IP addresses and migrate to the new endpoints as soon as possible.

Performance Improvements (Measured)

  • P50: ~10ms latency reduction
  • P95: ~60ms latency reduction
  • P99: ~100ms latency reduction

Frankfurt & Amsterdam — The Heart of the Solana Network

The 55% Stake Concentration Zone

Frankfurt holds the world's largest concentration of Solana validators, with Amsterdam ranking second globally. Together with London, these three cities account for approximately 55% of all Solana stake.
This distribution is structural, backed by decades of network investment and data center infrastructure development. Since Solana's block leader rotates rapidly — shifting the origin of network communication — proximity to high-stake-concentration regions directly translates into real-world performance outcomes.

Frankfurt — Financial Infrastructure at the Core of Europe

Frankfurt is Europe's foremost financial hub, home to the European Central Bank (ECB) and a dense concentration of major financial institutions. DE-CIX (Deutsche Commercial Internet Exchange) is among the world's largest internet exchanges, enabling ultra-low-latency connectivity across Europe. As the region with the world's highest Solana validator concentration, Frankfurt is structurally advantageous for high-frequency trading, DeFi, and global Web3 projects.

Amsterdam — Europe's Internet Hub

Amsterdam has historically been at the forefront of financial infrastructure, data centers, and internet networks. Home to AMS-IX, one of Europe's largest internet exchanges, and positioned at the geographic center of the European continent, the city benefits from dense, high-quality routing in all directions. With excellent access to both London and Frankfurt, Amsterdam has long been a highly competitive location for workloads requiring low latency and stability — from traditional finance to blockchain.

ERPC Delivers First-Class Resources Only

Across every tier of its lineup — including standard configurations — ERPC selects only first-class resources.
Each regional endpoint is placed within data centers that carry high stake concentration, maintaining zero-distance connectivity to the ERPC platform for maximum communication performance. This infrastructure quality principle applies equally to Geyser gRPC. The upgrade to AMD EPYC 5th Gen and the integration of R&D tuning results raise that standard further.
As resources where performance directly translates to value, ERPC's endpoints have consistently earned high marks from high-frequency traders and global Web3 projects.

Looking Ahead

ERPC will continue to monitor load conditions closely, expanding network capacity and reviewing configurations as needed. Sustaining a stable, high-performance platform while scaling to meet growing demand remains our core mission.
We encourage all users to migrate to the new endpoints and experience the improved performance and stability firsthand.
